Swiss bank tax dodgers strike immunity deal with HMRC

These tax cheats were brought to the attention of Revenue when a list of UK residents, holding Swiss bank accounts, had been discovered by the French police and handed over to HMRC, nearly 2 years ago. So far the only conviction arising from the subsequent investigation was that of property developer Michael Shanly who was fined £400,000 and had to pay back £430,000 in taxes.
